Let’s make Manhattan the best place in Kansas for young professionals to emerge and develop professionally and personally.
Hype connects, engages and develops young professionals to encourage a more vibrant, diverse and desirable Manhattan.
Hype carries out its mission through five pillars. Each pillar serves as a focus area for impact, action, and programming. Each pillar is supported by a team (committee), which develops events and programming within the purview of its respective pillar.
Opening doors for university students through community and employer engagement.
Building professional and social connections through interest-based networking opportunities.
Accelerating your career through ongoing professional and personal development and education.
Highlighting the young in young professionals with engaging social and family-friendly events.
Putting new connections and education to work within the community by giving back.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor in the Manhattan Professional Mentorship Program.
This program is co-sponsored by Hype and Spark. Hype is the young professional branch of the
Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce designed to connect, engage and develop young professionals
in order to encourage a more vibrant, diverse and desirable Manhattan. Spark is a nonprofit
organization that serves as a regional entrepreneurship support organization for entrepreneurs
and emerging business owners. We encourage you to fill out a brief application to help
us understand your areas of interest and availability for mentorship.
Mentees will be matched with mentors on a first-come, first-served basis, contingent on availability.
Matches are being made on an ongoing basis. Mentor contact information
will not be given to mentees until mentors confirm the match.
